well i love both of them but i love night gowns more because i can just slip in on an go..lol but sometimes i wear pjs and sometimes not to be gross but i sleep half naked...

I think it is a personal preference - you will find most women don't wear anything to bed except maybe panties because they get all wrapped up around you and that's annoying, but to walk around in I noticed a lot of men prefer the feel of silky things over cotton. so wear whatever feels best for you!!!!
ya know, i just wear whats comfortable and if that means a big t-shirt and panties one night and flannel pants and a tank top the next so be it. I really don't worry about being cute at night. I don't know maybe thats just me.
P.S. and yes in the summer its naked for me!
Okay- here goes!
Nylon nightgowns remind me of my great grandmother- I fear they increase the risk of static shock- I feel slippery in them- they bunch up while I sleep (I'm an active sleeper)- and lastly when I walk around in nightgowns I feel a draft.
Those are my reasons!
I sleep with just panties, but I would guess that cotton is more breathable. And if you wear pajamas versus a nightgown you don't need a robe if you leave your room to do something like answer the front door, etc.
EH, maybe the reason you hate woman's cotton Jamey's are because you are not meant to wear them. no offense, they are not make for men. I guess that's why i feel so damn uncomfortable in my jock strap!
I prefer to sleep naked - but if I must wear something I choose cotton b/c its breathable, unrestricting, and soft. The silky gowns are nice around the house but I just get tangled in them while I sleep.
I wear a cotton cute little Victoria's secret night gown. Its super cute. Nylon doesn't breathe! I live in Socal so I either do a comfy night gown or I wear a wife beater and undies and that's it.
those nightgowns get wrapped around me, and i hate it. i love cotton pj's. so wait, your a guy who dresses as a girl?? then that's your problem, your not a girl!!
i like to wear cotton pj's cause nightgowns ride up in the night and u end up showing everything. and pj's r just way comfortable and more cosy
Nylon is really static and the nightgowns always ride up your body in the night. PJ's are a lot more comfortable and just as girly!
I don't have any nightgowns... I don't know why. I guess nightgowns feel like I'm getting all dressed up to go to bed or something lol
I like to wear cotton pj's becasue they are more comfortable to walk around the house in and they keep me warm at night

The reason why I hate nightgowns is, they ride all the way up to my neck! Not very comfortable.
